Eric Kihn leads the Oceanographic and Geophysical Science and Services Division, with responsibilities that include supporting the ongoing ocean and coastal scientific initiatives NOAA undertakes with project partners. He formerly served as Director of NCEI’s Center for Coasts, Oceans, and Geophysics and acting Director of the National Geophysical Data Center, a predecessor of NCEI. Previously at NOAA, he led or contributed to the development of space weather projects and space physics initiatives. He currently heads the World Data Service for Geophysics and is a founding member of the NOAA Center for Artificial Intelligence.
